See & Do: Adventure
Adventurers and explorers of all ages and abilities are catered for locally or a few miles away - cycle a multitude of trails and tracks, riverside and forest walks, horse riding, canoeing, take a steam train, discover hidden 'treasure' using the 'Geo Caching' app, swim in local lakes and much more.
Off road and family cycles can be rented a few miles away (see Peddlebikeaway below), with access to Waymarked trails and more extreme tracks. Walk or cycle 'The Sculpture Trail' or to places of interest such as 'New Fancy' & 'Foxes Bridge'.
The River Wye is accessed from the end of the lane, providing a huge range of activities for paddlers, swimmers, canoeists, rafters and picturesque walks along The Wye Valley to Symonds Yat and beyond. You can hire canoes from 'Wye Pursuits' or have a thrilling time in the treetops at 'Go Ape' (see links below). Go deep underground at Clearwell Caves, jump on a Steam Train or seek out one of the many disused railway tracks, mines and tunnels that are hidden around the Forest.
Serious adventurers should try 'Go Ape' or drive a short distance to Chepstow for the National Diving and Activity Centre; home of one of the longest zip wires in the country and a host of other thrilling activities.
